Review of Waitress (2007) by Rodney S — 09 Aug 2011
An affectionate 'slice' of the south, treading a line between touching drama and whimsy. This tasty gem boasts a fine script brought to life by some well cast players. Keri Russell steals the show with a touching performance, whilst Fillion (Firefly/Serenity) Hines (Curb your enthusiasm) and Sisto (Six feet under) provide solid back-up.
the bittersweet tragedy is that Director Adrienne Shelley passed away not long after making and starring in this film.
