Day 16 - Waitress (152 Days of Quick Movies Reviews).
Now granted, some people on my FB list aren't going to like the star rating on this. They say it's slow. But for me, Waitress is one of those real American movies that not only shows off the chops of it's two leads (Keri Russell & Nathan Fillion) but leaves a lasting impression of empowerment. THIS IS NOT A ROMANTIC COMEDY as so many would think. It's a story of a woman in an abusive relationship and how her outlet is baking...and how that connects with those around her.
