Review of Waiting for "Superman" (2010) by Kim H — 19 Feb 2011
This is a good week for documentaries. 'Waiting for Superman' shows the overall scope of the problems with our educational system. My one complaint, however, is that it lays most of the blame on the system and not enough on the students who are being educated.
My school growing up had its share of bad teachers, and it also lacked resources since it was a small school, but a lot of our students have gone on to be successful people who contributed to society.
Why? Maybe we had a better attitude or desire to learn?
