Review of Waiting for "Superman" (2010) by Teague T — 11 Mar 2011
Certainly some blaring flaws in "the system", but the filmmakers had an agenda I can see why it got snubbed at the Oscars. There is an unabashed bias, a narrow lens and a strategic ploy to only present one solution (charter schools). Plus, two of the featured parents were really annoying.
Also, there are lots of correlations in education. One lesson that everyone ought to take from philosophers is that correlation is not causation. The filmmakers closed that gap without hesitation.
