Review of Waiting for "Superman" (2010) by Adam S — 11 Apr 2011
Emotionally cloying but earnest and heartfelt examination of America's school system, from the worst inner city "dropout factories" to the best "charter" school options. Long on statistics, short on solutions, Davis Guggenheim ("An Inconvenient Truth") does his best putting a face (and good animation) to the problem, and it's powerful film-making, if not doctrine changing.
