Review of Waiting for "Superman" (2010) by Dick M — 28 Dec 2012
BEHAVIOR ANALYSIS AND MINORITY ISSUES.
Finished watching "Waiting for Superman" today. Turns out I'd started it, streaming from NetFlix, a while back, before I'd gotten turned on to Geoffrey Canada. Had stopped after 30 minutes and gave it a rating of 2 out of 5. This time I reluctantly bumped it up to 3 out of 5. I think what I liked least about it is that it comes off like an infomercial for the Geoffrey Canada approach to minority education, rather than the somewhat more objective approach of Paul Tough's book, "Whatever It Takes: Geoffrey Canada's Quest to Change Harlem and America." none the less, anyone interested in saving the world through improved minority grade schools should definitely check out this flick. Now I'll try to put together and EverNotes on the topic. Thanks for getting back on to this one, Conny.
