Review of Waiting for Guffman (1997) by Edwin K — 17 May 2008
Hughly enjoyable through out the whole movie. Waiting for Guffman is the best Guest-directed film and the most hillarious one of all. It's a mockumentary (documentary stylized film, but a fiction) about the town people as they prepare for the 150th anniversary of their city.
Waiting for Guffman is a fantastic tribute to theatres and acting (even though it's a satire), because for all we know the film is mostly improvised; there are musical moments; and you will get to see the development of a play: from day 1 to the play day.
