Review of Waiting for Guffman (1997) by Jordan P — 30 Apr 2009
Disappointing. The characters are poorly developed, if at all, the plot is lame and obvious, the musical numbers take up half the damn movie, and really aren't very good anyway, especially with the god-awful MIDI-generated music accompanying them.
Guest relies on a lazy gay stereotype for his character, but the rest of the actors do a brilliant job, so there's that at least. It's also funny, for the most part.
