Review of Waiting for Guffman (1997) by David Ray G — 08 Jul 2010
This movie is a favorite of someone I love and I thought I should watch it myself shortly after he mentioned it to me.
Christopher Guest, although I am not very familiar with his work, is obviously a genius and a master of comedic mockumentaries. The humor is exuberant and wacky and this movie can only be described as a container of madness and ridiculousness. The acting is over the top and rather kitsch as it's supposed to be and the movie has a heart and a soul and is overall...well...Red, White, and Blaine.
