Review of Waiting for Forever (2010) by Mark H — 28 Feb 2012
The story itself is quite whimsical, even bordering on absurd at times. There is some depth to the more dramatic scenes, and that keeps the film grounded. What really scored the points for me was the symbolism that exists beneath the plot that explores the depth of human connection.
I took the actual story to be over-the-top, but the underlying concepts the film was actually trying to convey were very well conceived. Plus, it helps that I like Rachel Bilson and Richard Jenkins quite a bit.
