Review of Wait Until Dark (1967) by Carlos S — 20 Apr 2008
This is a true classic, a fantastic movie. It is based on a stage play and the film works by not trying to get too far away from its roots. The majority of it is set in one set, the apartment, which makes it feel claustrophobic when the tension starts.
Hepburn is very believable as a blind woman but it is Alan Arkin who steals the show, he is oh so creepy. I highly recommend this film, many will probably find it "too old" or "too slow", but for anyone who still knows how to enjoy movies will enjoy this gem.
