Some call her overrated. Some call her the greatest actress who ever lived. But we can all agree that sheâ(TM)s one of the most beautiful women to ever appear on screen. We are in awe of her presence and relaxed whenever she moves. Iâ(TM)ve only seen two of her films: Breakfast at Tiffanyâ(TM)s and Wait Until Dark in which Iâ(TM)ve recently seen about a week ago. Shit! I forgot to mention that I saw My Fair Lady in high school.

I couldnâ(TM)t take my eyes off of her in Wait Until Dark. She does look aged, you can tell when you look at her eyes but she looks great. She still defines beauty at such an age. Seeing her play the role of Susy made smiles out of me. Itâ(TM)s difficult to achieve that in thrillers such as Wait Until Dark. I liked the film and even though sheâ(TM)s the heroine, it makes up half of the greatness of the film. I thought it was nicely shot. It made good use of tracking shots whether itâ(TM)s intention is to follow a character to simply invoke the ecstasy of a scene. I loved Alan Arkin playing Roat. He does it like nothing and with full of grace. He looks eccentric by the way he dresses, speaks, and even moves. But, Underneath that is a monster. It was fun seeing him in different disguises. The film gets you hooked quickly and itâ(TM)s pretty well written how it happens since you already established the premise but to end it, you have Hepburn doing what she does best: to set Susyâ(TM)s own unintentional trap to the small group of thieves. I like to call them thieves. Hepburn does make you believe Susy is blind and sometimes helpless. Even I felt bad and wanted to help her so bad whenever she needs assistance. We all know that in reality Hepburn isnâ(TM)t blind but the way Susy moves, behaves, and even feels has you convinced sheâ(TM)s blind. Susy is a nice person full of heart. She seems strong and her intelligence plays a big role in the film. Thereâ(TM)s a lot of tension in the film. Whatâ(TM)s funny to me that all of the characters are clueless until a certain point when everything is finally out on the open. The acting is pretty great. Everybody plays a deceptive role, the way it was written deserves praise. The flow of the acting throughout is pretty smooth.

The last sequence is intense for me since I saw it in complete darkness. I liked how everything was in darkness. The director, Terence Young, to me it seems as a visual aesthetic he was finally tired of us, the audience, being a step ahead of the film. You might know why if you ever get around to it. Young wants us blinded as well, he wants to completely connect to the characters: their pain and troubles, the things they must get through daily. I felt that we should at least feel something so we can no longer be blind from clear sight.
