Review of Wait Until Dark (1967) by Indi V — 15 Jul 2012
The film would fail completely if Hepburn failed completely. Thankfully, that doesn't happen. Hepburn is fantastic and 100% believable as a blind woman. The film is tense, frightening, and very unsettling at times, and that's perfect.
Alan Arkin himself said that his role was so difficult to cast because nobody wanted to be a dick to Audrey Hepburn. Still, Arkin gives a meancing performance as the villain. This is how you do a thriller.
