Review of Waist Deep (2006) by Elliot R — 21 Apr 2008
Good story premise, some okay dialogue and average acting for this Tyrese movie. There are some ridiculous scenes but it manages to plod on until it falls apart completely. As I see it this film has a story failure once the son is rescued with 25-mins of the film still to go.
As a consequence it's boring and you can tell they struggled to make the distance. The whole cop chase failed to excite and was a last minute tack on. Sadly some problems with continuity too doesn't bode well for a Tyrese Gibson headline movie.
