Review of Wah-Wah (2005) by Ben C — 08 Oct 2007
Wide-sweeping cinematography graces the spectacular plains of Swaziland in this biopic of Richard E Grants childhood. An enigmatic Gabriel Byrne shows love in all its complexities as he staggers through his alcoholism in front of his growing son.
At turns deeply emotional the film steps up a notch to welcome humour into its sights creating a wonderful portrait of a time gone by.
