Review of Wag the Dog (1997) by Stan D — 07 Dec 2012
A great political story, about a US President who is caught molesting a girl.
Scout. In order to change the focus of the press, the president's political strategist (Robert DeNiro) employs a famous Hollywood producer (Dustin Hoffman) to create a new major story and make it look real. Hoffman hams it up big time, and it is pure entertainment, funny as hell, and profound and believable. Certainly it causes one to think of how many times similar things have actually happened. Woody Harrelson plays a memorable cameo role. With Anne Heche and Willie Nelson.
