Review of Wag the Dog (1997) by Mason B — 05 Mar 2010
It is a truly amazing thing when cast of a movie loves the fact that they're in the movie. Throughout Wag the Dog it is gleefully obvious that Dustin Hoffman and Robert De Niro are having a blast. This causes the audience to have as much fun as they are having.
The two leads deliver and react to dialouge perfectly, giving an already great script an amazing sense of humor. This satire is both funny and painfully relevant, even today. The only problem is that movie kinda ends on a flat note, as apparently the filmmakers didn't really know how to end the movie.
Still this is two hours of fun satire that I would greatly recomend.
