Review of Wadjda (2012) by Arturo Z — 14 Nov 2013
This is the first feature to come from Saudi Arabia that is not only a commercial success & critical success but a triumph for a female filmmaker.
The story is so simple but powerful, the story of a Saudi girl wanting a bike despite being not able to ride it.
Filled with culture & religion this film shows a very real Saudi with many touching & honest scenes.
The acting is sensational & simple this is a cornerstone film that is a breakthrough for the world of Saudi Arabia.
