Review of W. (2008) by Inuk J — 13 Oct 2009
Well, it's interesting and amusing at times but by no means a greatly written story: if you don't know about W's life/the people on his staff you miss out on lots of the tragi-comic little events that make up the sole of the film. I guess a non-us-citizen won't find it as relevant, and therefore the film doesn't share the appeal of, say, JFK (the film).
Great performances all around though. Brolin's Bush Jr. is spot-on, and one almost feels sorry for the wee fella.
Almost, that is.
