3: This was truly fascinating. What could be more interesting than an in-depth portrayal of one's own countries most recent Executive branch and most far reaching geopolitical events. It was riveting in this sense.

Stone is certainly a director that doesn't shy away from what is controversial to many, even if it is basic to others. Each performance was exceptional. Brolin provided a stellar and complicated version of Bush.

The relationship among the various family members and public officials was thoroughly engaging throughout. One usually doesn't consider the family dynamics of the Bush family, but this shed some interesting light on the situation, even if it may be a bit fanciful.

Cromwell, Burstyn, Jones, Glenn, Dreyfus, etc were all superb. Dreyfuss' look at Brolin when Brolin first says "I'm the decider" was hilarious. Truly priceless. What's amazing is I didn't even realize the actress playing Rice was Thandie Newton.

Bravo! I'd say she should have received an Oscar nomination for the role. It was dead on, hilarious, and disturbing for every scene. Superb. At first I was wondering how I would feel about dedicating an additional two hours of my life to thinking about the 43rd President, but since I've already dedicated a significant portion of my life to serving in his quixotic adventure in Iraq, it seemed the least I could do.

I really couldn't get enough of the picture. Excellent script. It didn't hurt that Elizabeth Banks figured quite prominently as well. Devastating as always. The wife of a friend of mine once said, over dinner and drinks, that she thought George W.

Bush had done more harm to America than Osama Bin Laden. Since I agree, it would be difficult for me not to find this film both entirely entertaining and sickeningly awful. I thought Stone and company acted with restraint throughout though, which made it all the more effective in the end.
