Review of W. (2008) by Matthew H — 03 Nov 2009
I think this movie will age like fine wine. Its a little raw now that the image of W is already fixed in our minds and time will soften the image and impressions of the presidency. Cheney, Rice, and turd blossom were dead ringers.
Rummy and Poppy were way off in terms of looks. It had the feel of a Saturday Night live sketch. The movie is a character piece on W in fast forward. The tension between father and son was real. The fact the W beat the pre-ordained Jeb to the White House and spoiled it for him is a testament to the American style of democracy.
Even a drunk failure frat boy turned Texan can be President with the right turd blossom behind him! PS: Laura is HOT!
