Review of W. (2008) by Kate R — 07 Dec 2009
Brolin is comical as George W. Bush, but the movie itself surprised me. It surprised me in the sense that it painted a lot nicer picture of the former president than I would have. Ultimately, they made it look like Bush didn't have his hands in anything and his administration was to blame for most of our problems.
They put up Bush as a puppet who was largely innocent, while ignoring the fact that his greed is what drives him. Not family or the good ol' boy southern gentlemen he wants you to believe he is.
