George W. Bush is and always will be one of the most controversial public figures in history. Oliver Stone makes a short and really entraining biopic of our 43rd President that doesn't know if it's serious or not.

There's plenty of comedy in the film clocking over 2 hours. And when we're shown the comical parts of his life, they're truly hilarious. One is left to wonder whether or not the script taken to the screen is true or not.

It's entertaining to identify and recognize Bush's administration and see how accurately they are portrayed, in speech and demeanor. For the most part, all succeed with flying colors. Josh Brolin gives a strong performance as GWB. He's able to nail the voice and looks down easily. Also, Richard Dreyfuss as Dick Cheney is a solid performance.

W. leaves Bush's political life with unanswered questions. Maybe it's the hope of making a bigger and more precise focus of Bush in a decade or two later. Maybe that would've made the movie better.

Though we're well informed about all the actions, nothing is fairly new. It somewhat can feel at times like the greatly made Fahrenheit 911.

It may not be the whole story of he controversial former president, it still overs a very entertaining glimpse at GWB.
