Review of W. (2008) by Jason C — 15 Mar 2010
I really expected so much more from a director like Oliver Stone. The movie wasn't controversial because it played into the hands of the majority that is the anti-Bush market. It was clearly a one-sided view of the Bush administration, but I wonder had Stone waited another ten, twenty years to make this it would've been infinitely better.
He capitalized on a hot market and gave the audience what they wanted, but in the end it was an empty film. Kudos, however, to Brolin, Elizabeth Banks, and Michael Gaston as Cheney.
