I re-watched this bio-pic about our 43rd president and I still absolutely love it! The objective of this Stone endeavor is not rip the president to shreds or (directly) criticize his policies. This an examination of his character and mind set and how crucial past events in his life lead him from miscreant into the white house and the decision to invade Iraq.

You see that most of his struggles are presented personally and sympathetically, a majority are father vs. son issues. In the end though, like most of Stones films, the story of W. is played out like a Shakespearean tragedy and leaves us literally asking ourselves "whats going to happen to him?".

This was brilliantly written and directed by Stone, his best film since "Natural Born Killers".
