Review of W. (2008) by Kenneth B — 05 Oct 2011
The most remarkable thing about W. is just how it shies away from really saying anything about Bush junior. It's basically just a chronology of events but it's all very middle of the road. Proof perhaps that Stone has lost his edge because this, and indeed World Trade Centre, doesn't have anything near the impact of his Vietnam War films.
It's a film by a man who seems to have lost his passion. On the upside Brolin does a near enough flawless Dubya and is pretty much the only recommendation I could make for watching this film.
