Review of Von Richthofen and Brown (1971) by Bobby W — 05 Jul 2014
Lavish, by Roger Corman standards, historical drama about WWI ace fighter pilot, the Red Baron. The other part of the the title, Brown, is a Canadian pilot flying with the allies. The action and ariel fight sequences are terrific and I be were pretty impressive on the big screen.
The major downside to the film is that the film is pretty boring when the pilots are on the ground and talking. Worth watching for the action, but it's not really a very compelling drama. I'd have expected better from Corman.
