Review of Voices of a Distant Star (2002) by Sarah W — 22 May 2008
If there's an anime that deserves high praise from a dedicated enthusiast, it is Makoto Shinkai's Hoshi no Koe. Both its conceptualization and final product deserve merit. Created from scratch by himself and his fiancee, he has spun a heart rending tale of war-torn lovers separated by the impending time of space travel.
Touches my heart both as an enthusiast and fellow creator.
