This documentary, my fifth pick of Edinburgh 2012, succeeds in illustrating the stunning beauty of nature in it's many forms and in showcasing the extreme lives of people around the globe. Whilst the score is at times frustrating, it is used to good effect as a link between the comparative antipodes.
Some scenes flag and seem pointless, but others soar and provide real emotional clout. A truly relaxing and insightful film.
