Review of Vivah (2006) by Donovan S — 13 Dec 2009

I love this movie. As much as people seem to hate arranged marriages, I think they are cool. In fact, I'm gonna send my parents to look for a fine female in a couple years lol. These two make the perfect couple.. The nervousness at the beginning is endearing and the devotion toward the end will touch your heart. Between two lovers, nothing matters but "ishq," and this film stands behind that belief. It is simple.. doesn't try to do too much.. this is why its as good as it is.

Hollywood: 4.0 stars.

Bollywood: 5.0 stars.

Amrita needs to tape her ears back or something b/c when she is laying down at certain serious moments in the film, all I can look at is the way her ears butterfly away from her head. I'd pay that plastic surgeon to make a few adjustments to this girl if you know what I mean.
