Review of Viva Zapata! (1952) by Riley H — 22 Apr 2008
Somewhat disappointing. But still better than a lof stuff from then, thanks to Marlon Kazan/Elia Brando. But they make things better. There was a moment in the film where they might have reached for greatness, but either Steinbeck or historical accuracy held them back.
I'm not sure which.
