Review of Viva Zapata! (1952) by Irina M — 14 Mar 2011
No doubt that the creative ottoman Elia Kazan was a genious:).
Intriguing combination Elia-Marlon Brando is the ideal one from my perspective. (look at "On The Waterfront" or "A Streetcar Named Desire").
Even though, I have to admit John Steinbeck had also a major contribution;).
Interesting is that Emiliano Zapata's character is fabulously constructed by the magical duo and distructed with help of Anthony Quinn who's playing the brother role in this bio.
