Ineffective Canadian slasher flick that somehow manages to accomplish the near impossible task of making Michael Ironside not creepy or threatening. This appears to be one of those early 80s slasher films, like He Knows You're Alone and Happy Birthday to Me (just to name a couple) that doesn't want to actually be a slasher film. So it replaces bloody violence with a pseudo-style (think de Palma making a prime time soap opera) that is extremely off-putting.
Skip this stinker and go watch SCANNERS again...
