Review of Visioneers (2008) by Dylan L — 05 Aug 2009

There's something intriguing about a dark comedy combined with the familiar drudgery of a corporation, but this movie couldn't incorporate either components well. The movie tries hard to be subtle, but the subtleties don't translate well as the plot and action becomes incomprehensible.

All the characters are emotionally stoic and speaking in a consistently vague tone which becomes tiresome. Maybe it's just me, but someone who is a total film buff and can notice the subtleties in the movie will appreciate this movie, but it just doesn't work for me.

I'm surprised that I actually managed to watch the entire movie, before dismissing it outright for not holding my interest.
