Review of Virtuosity (1995) by Jack G — 17 Sep 2010
Most of critics believed that Virtuosity is another mindless sf triller, however as far I'm concerned the movie isn't bad.
There is some smart ideas such as nanotechnology-based body of Sid or usage of VR to training cops (now it is not surprising but 15 years ago that concept wasn't so obvious) and cool visual effects. Moreover R. Crove's performance is at least good - his alter ego is really despicable, Washington also give nice performance, however this role is not very memorable.
The bad things in the movie are rather predictable plot, which is mainly based on some typical elements and lack of interestings minor characters.
Apart from them the whole impression is positive.
