Review of Violet & Daisy (2011) by Thomas L — 22 Nov 2013
Violet & Daisy is undoubtedly eccentric and will probably alienate most mainstream crowds, but it certainly has it's charms. It exists in it's own whimsical world where reality takes a backseat to comic book style insanity.
The films stays partially grounded thanks to a nice low key performance from James Gandolfini. The violence, although not all that graphic, is quite enthusiastic. I enjoyed the black humor, and the more candid moments.
