Booklover11's Mini Reviews: Since this is the first movie short I ever reviewed, I'll make it a new series of short reviews of short movies. GENIUS! So, for the birthday of Tim Burton, and in memory of Vincent Price, I give you, Vincent: This is a very surreal short, but executed so amazingly, it's hard not to take notice.

The frightening visuals, the great rhyming, the story, it's all done extremely well. It shows the story of Vincent, who wants to be like another Vincent: Vincent Price. What really makes it amazing is that Vincent Price actually narrated the short himself.

Now that's surrealism. Vincent imagines himself doing the things Vincent Price often does, but in reality, he's just a kid, and often get's in trouble for his imagination. Now, if this happened in real life, this is what the story would be like: Vincent is an insane 7 year old movie buff, who has hallucinations that are so scary, he has a heart attack and dies.

I know, that's dark, but if you think THAT'S dark, watch this movie. But seriously, though, the style, the emotion, and the subtle beauty of the short makes it a must for any movie buff. 5 stars.
