Review of Vigilante (1983) by John A — 29 Oct 2007
This film asks us to look at the moral and ethical questions of justice, and how it should be served. But you probably won't notice, because you'll be enthralled by this meat and potatoes vendetta exploiter.
Long before Jackie Brown, Lustig had the brains to hire Robert Forster as his lead. Something happens to his character early in the film that you can actually feel like a jack-boot to the gut. By the end of the movie you are dying to see him dish it out to the bad guys.
A very satisying and realistically made action film.
