Review of View from the Top (2003) by Thomas C — 18 Jun 2010

Watching this movie made me uncomfortable. Paltrow was miscast as a hick from a small town, and seemed to be speaking her lines through gritted teeth as to say: what the hell am I doing here even pretending to be a lower class citizen! Ruffalo had the same problem, so far as to say I'd've believed his character more--if he were playing a milk toast sucking ventriloquist.

How did this movie even get made? Why did everyone agree to be in it? Mike Myers was the only character even remotely funny.
