Review of Videodrome (1983) by Morten Ø — 15 Dec 2008
This is perhaps my absolute favorite Cronenberg picture. The theme is - as it usually is - the conflict between man and its technology. This time the technology being television as we have never seen it before.
Slowly our main character gets controlled and manipulated by his biggest hobby (and what he makes a living of), the TV. It deals with subjects that are perhaps more relevant today than ever before. Simply a piece of (sci-fi-horrer) art.
A must see.
