Review of Victor Frankenstein (2015) by Jacob D — 06 Jun 2016

Victor Frankenstein is not a terrible movie. It's just not a great movie, either. On the plus side, it has lush visuals and a talented cast. On the downside, it barely does anything with the story to warrant its existence.

It's an unsubtle, unimaginative affair that does nothing wittier that a few nods to its predecessors. It's a far departure from Shelley's masterpiece, to be sure, but not in any way that makes it compelling.
