Review of Victor Frankenstein (2015) by Aleks S — 29 Nov 2015
The biggest waste of potential this year. The most obvious issue out of many is Victor Frankenstein's identity as a film. It has no clue what it wants to be, making this movie hard to get accustomed to.
It even makes you uncomfortable sometimes. It's so inconsistent, choppy, and just straight up weird, you can only wonder what the hell could've gone wrong with such a brilliant cast and crew. The best part by far and the only shining light was Daniel Radcliffe with the only believable performance in the entire film.
That is perhaps why the beginning is very strong as well, showing the origin of Igor and his terrible upbringing mixed with his passion for studying the human anatomy. But from then on the film immediately loses its way and sloppily rushes to a very unsatisfying ending.
