The narration felt like a really bad episode of Arrested Development. by the midway point it was downright insulting that every scene apparently needed training wheels. and then... enter Penelope Cruz.
this film lacked tension (or compelling character drama) until Cruz's character was introduced. yet the narration never stopped and the menage-a-reckless relationships were not persuading. needless to say, I despised every character.
I hope I never have to see a "tragicomedy" again.
