Review of Vicky Cristina Barcelona (2008) by Lety C — 03 Feb 2011

Watched this last night. Absolutely mesmerising. I'm glad I had no expectations of this film because I was left pleasantly surprised. The uptight and the promiscious wanting to change their lives storyline sounded like it would be your typical cliche but this movie wanted more but you didn't know exactly what that was.

... Penelope Cruz is brilliant in this, Javier Bardem is both titilating and mysterious and Rebecca Hall is captivating. Makes me want to go to Barcelona (even though my boyfriend has said I am never to go without him!).

Also, this is my first experience of a Woody Allen film, now I am intrigued to see more...
