Characters we are introduced to at the beginning do not develop much throughout the film which basically gets stuck after 30 minutes and has nothing new to tell us from that moment on. The characters are not discovering anything new about themselves any longer although this seemed to be the purpose of the film.
The final scene at the studio with Maria Elena shooting the gun is just ridiculus.
