Review of Vicky Cristina Barcelona (2008) by Lady D — 09 Mar 2012
I've never been a big Woody fan, but after seeing and very much enjoying Midnight in Paris, I thought I would give this one a go as well. It starts off nicely with a few laughs and interesting story lines, but once Vicky first sleeps with Juan Antonio, it starts treading water, and it seems that it doesn't know where it wants to go.
The story falls apart and isn't really believeable, and you stop caring about any of the characters. Also, the time line seems very strange to me. The girls go to Barcelona for two months, but they seem to stay there forever.
The narrator says "for days...." and "for weeks...." and it just doesn't add up to just two months.
