Though it deals with the same themes as Allen's previous films such as artistic angst and the meaning (or meaninglessness) of life, this romantic drama comes off as completely fresh and original. It features beautiful views of the city of Barcelona and a cast of such greats as Javier Bardem and Scarlett Johansson in good form.
