Review of Very Bad Things (1998) by Jim T — 28 Dec 2008

Sadly, this movie really defines Dark Comedy. It's a shame because it is not very good. It doesn't successfully use the subtle humor as most others of its type do. There just seemed to be too much parking lot screaming and annoying yelling to handle.

I couldn't take it. I only legitimately laughed a few times. Just too many terrible terrible things happened. It was an unbearable disaster movie, but I guess that is what they were shooting for. You have to love the cast though.

Had everything for the making of a classic dark comedy, but it was just too damn dark. It took death too lightly (and the deaths were not even comedic themselves).
