A comedy so dark you'll have to search to find the laughs, Very Bad Things is an uneven but entertaining yarn thanks to a solid ensemble cast. Peter Berg's script doesn't properly nail the smart satirical bent that it aims for, but the film's unapologetic absurdity somewhat compensates for this.
