Review of Very Bad Things (1998) by John M — 27 Dec 2009
The blackest comedy every made. Bringing together a group stars who normally have shown a good supporting role performance (Favreau in Friends, Orser in Seven, Stern in Home Alone, Piven in Grosse Pointe Blank all great fun here) are brought to together with a wildly overacting Slater for the messiest bachelour party which threatens to ruin their lives afterwards in increasingly ridiculous circumstances.
Possibly aiming for a larger satirical take on boring day-to-day life and what happens when cross the lines of law, decency and general sanity, it never quite get beyond the last crazy scene. Sit back and enjoy the madness, and make your stag party a quiet one.
